I think Henne is really hurt
From the Daily:
Although, in typical fashion, Michigan coaches would not disclose the nature of Henne's shoulder injury, their response after the game - and the sling Henne wore when he exited - suggested it was fairly severe.
Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr called Henne "courageous." Offensive coordinator Mike DeBord said it was one of the "guttiest" performances he'd seen in a long time. Running backs coach Fred Jackson - well, let's just say he left nothing to understatement.
"I've been coaching college football since 1980 and I've never seen a guy who went through what he went through for his team," Jackson said. "He's the ultimate warrior in my mind."

Pauly Dogs
Pauly is a hot dog artist. He claims to carry 40-50 items to put on dogs, but he keeps a large extra stash of things not listed, so in reality, I have no idea how many topping are available. Now, I don't like hotdogs. Not usually. But Pauly Dogs....I make an exception for. I generally ask for the special, which means 'put whatever you want on it.' Today I think I got the strangest one yet: Crushed cherry peppers, sweet and sour sauce, Old Bay, Lawery's, cheese, relish, chow-mien noodles, and two green beans.
My personal favorite: crushed cherry peppers, macaroni and cheese, and crushed potato chips.

Calculus
My sister wants me to teach her calculus. It would be a very good exercise for me to try to teach the subject...so I'm gonna give it a shot. It's gonna be a sort of correspondence course with no schedule working at a very slow pace. I can't even promise that we won't quit half way through. It depends on the motivation of the student. I'm not gonna push. Anyone know anyone else who wants in on this?
The textbook I'm gonna use can be picked up used off amazon for $6.50, that included shipping.

Recruit
There's a RB recruit named Sam McGuffie who just committed to Michigan for '08. The people who watch this sort of thing 24/7 apparently stayed up late last night to see his announcement. There's a lot excitement on the message board. People saying they'll sleep better now and 'time to break out the Cubans' and such.

Potter in Williamston
There was a realtively big Harry Potter themed festival in Williamston the day before the launch of the last book. They even held a quiddich tournament. My mom and sister (and Brady) all dressed up and participated. I don't have a good picture of the 3 headed puppy yet, but my folks said they had a line of people taking picutes with him all afternoon. My dad guessed that around 200 people took a picture with him.

Job Stuff
The Dean of Engineering at Duke has become the Provost at Johns Hopkins. My advisor is serving as dean while Duke conducts a search for a replacement. He is naturally a candidate for that position. Additionally, Carol's company recently got bought out.

No Shut Out Streak
I haven't found a good source, but I recently saw a post on a message board listing the longest games-without-being-shut-out streaks for NCAA football teams. #1 BYU ended the streak at 361. #2 Michigan with 284 and counting. Last shut out was Iowa in 1984.
